Get answers to common questions about Back Wax.
Most Back Wax appointments take 30 minutes or less at Vanity Private Studio. Our efficient technique includes prep and a calming serum, so expect a thorough yet quick service ideal for busy schedules and monthly maintenance.
Some discomfort is normal, but our trained estheticians use careful technique and a soothing serum to minimize pain. For sensitive clients we offer prep, breath techniques and can suggest topical numbing upon request to improve comfort.
Aim for about a quarter-inch (roughly 6mm) of hair for the best Back Wax results. Shorter hair may not grip, while much longer hair should be trimmed beforehand for a faster, cleaner wax.
We recommend scheduling Back Wax every four to six weeks for optimal upkeep. Regular waxing encourages finer regrowth, makes sessions quicker over time, and keeps your back consistently smooth and groomed.
Yes — we can usually wax sensitive or acne-prone skin after an assessment. Our estheticians perform a patch test, recommend gentle prep, and use calming serum post-wax. Severe acne or open lesions may require postponement or medical clearance.
Avoid hot showers, saunas, heavy exercise and sun exposure for 24 to 48 hours. Wear loose clothing, avoid harsh products, and gently exfoliate after 48 to 72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs. Apply recommended calming serum and sunscreen as needed.
