Smoothness typically lasts two to six weeks depending on individual hair growth and cycle. Regular waxing can extend the interval between sessions by weakening hair over time. Results vary by person, hormones, and waxing frequency.
No — waxing pulls hair from the root and does not make it thicker or darker. With consistent waxing many clients notice finer, sparser regrowth. Hormonal changes can affect hair, so discuss concerns with your technician before treatment.
Avoid sun exposure, tanning, exfoliation, and strong topical actives for 24–48 hours before waxing. Ensure hair is at least a quarter-inch long, clean, and free of oils or lotions so the wax adheres properly.
Yes—most sensitive skin types can be waxed with precautions. We use gentle formulas, test a small area if needed, and apply calming serum after treatment. Share allergies, medications, or skin conditions with your therapist beforehand.
Ideally hair should be about 1/4 inch (approximately the length of a grain of rice) so the wax can grasp and remove it effectively. If hair is too short, wait a week; if too long, light trimming is fine.
Avoid retinol, strong acids, and other resurfacing ingredients for at least 48–72 hours before waxing to reduce sensitivity and risk of tearing. If you use retinol regularly, inform your technician so we can adjust timing or patch test.
